With an increase in more frequent weather events, this will be an effective tool for us to be able to communicate event updates to participants, volunteers, event staff and spectators.

The levels range from Low (GREEN) to Moderate (YELLOW) to High (RED) to Extreme (BLACK) based on a variety of factors, including weather and event conditions. All participants, volunteers, event staff and spectators should familiarize themselves with the Event Alert System colour indicators, watch for updates and plan accordingly.

The Event Alert System (EAS) status will be updated on this webpage beginning the Monday before race day, and continuing daily through race day. Participants, volunteers and event staff will be notified of the current Event Alert System (EAS) status via email on race morning.

In the event that the EAS Status changes, participants, volunteers and event staff will be notified via email, PA announcements and social media posts.

EAS Status will also be indicated on-venue via colour-coded flags in the start area and finish/festival area and on-course at all aid stations. In the event that the EAS Status changes, flags will be updated accordingly and participants will be directed on the best course of action.
