Local Run Crews

Loop Leisure Club YYC, or LLC for short, was created to serve the NW and NE running community, as the majority of the amazing run clubs are located downtown or in the inner city. That said, we welcome anyone travelling from all parts of Calgary and the surrounding area. This one of a kind club celebrates our unique 1,500 metre loop around a storm pond. Regardless of the effort you put in, nobody will feel left behind because the loop naturally brings everyone back together throughout the 45 minute session.

Formerly the University of Calgary Marathon Training Program (circa 1982) - Run21 is a running club with a social problem. We invite anyone looking for a nice group of runners to play with, to consider joining us. We typically train for a Spring and a Fall event with the earlier date targeting the 10k to Half Marathon and finishing with a half marathon or marathon in the Fall - although all runners are accommodated, whatever the distance. If you are just getting started or looking to 'take it up a notch' without the pressures of intra-group competition, this may be the group for you. A running schedule is prepared by the long-time coach of this group, Colleen Parsons, and caters to all distances desired by the team members. Ongoing assistance with changes to your program are possible and volunteer Run Captains ensure no one gets lost. If you are looking to get faster or just looking to finish, Run21 Club can meet your needs. There is an annual membership fee that covers a number of benefits throughout the year. If you like, you can join as a social member or to try us out before committing. Tailgait (tailgate) events occur spontaneously after Saturday runs and pub-night Monday runs are frequent. Did we mention the social problem?

We are a socially paced Run Club for all in the beautiful community of Harmony in Springbank, AB since 2021.

We are a volunteer run, local collective of Cochrane athletes and their families. Our athletes are all ages from 13 and above, and we focus on road racing, track, cross country. Our Head Coach is a fully certified NCCP High Performance Coach in Endurance Athletics. Membership fees apply.
